A study released today reveals that the London Metropolitan Police are 7 times more likely to arrest a black cloud of smoke, such as the one that loomed over London last week, than a common white or gray smokestack from, say, a middle-class suburban house-fire.The study highlights that smoke-racism is rife in the capital's police force. Further data showed that; yellow smoke was 20% more likely to be stopped and searched, and brown, or middle eastern style smoke (such as from an incense or shisha) was anything up to 4 times as likely to be hauled in under new terrorism laws. Fran Fanny, MP for Liberal Democrats says, "I think it's a bloody disgrace. Houses in Hampsted and Sloane Square catch on fire all the time, and what to the coppers do? Turn a blind eye. But one little warehouse fire in the the east end makes a black plume of smoke and suddenly the cops are all over it. Not only that, but it turns into a media circus, and once again the world associates the colour black, with cops and crime." Chief constable Bobby McFerrin argues, "It's just a statistic, innit. I mean, nobody bats an eyelid because we stop and search more young male fires than middle aged women, do they? There is no inherent racism in the Met, it's just sometimes how the numbers stack up. Once again the newspapers have blown it all out proportion. But then they would, wouldn't they? Because they're all run by sneaky Jews." Views: 1777
